I am kind-hearted and passionate about sharing the insights gained from my personal experiences, education, and therapeutic practices. I engage in ongoing self-reflection and coaching to improve my own wellbeing and to facilitate an authentic and welcoming space for others.
I am Qualified as a Psychological Therapist, Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher. I created Ascend Wellness with the intention of guiding individuals to improve their physical, emotional and mental health through offering a blend of psychological perspectives and trauma informed yoga practices.
I believe that connecting with the mind and body is extremely powerful in promoting overall health and wellbeing and I am thrilled to be supporting others to engage in their own journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
From a young age, I experienced emotional fluctuations and daily anxiety, and I always felt as though I wasn’t living life to it’s full potential. As a teenager, I was responsible for caring for a family member with mental health difficulties, which sparked a curiosity for human behaviour and emotion. This led to a career in mental health support, where I worked as a Mental Health worker and then trained as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within the NHS. This involved providing brief guided self-help treatment interventions which later progressed to training as a Psychological Therapist, offering High-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
My own journey of self-inquiry however, began when a minor car accident resulted in lower back pain. Despite seeking various treatments and medical advice, no improvements were made. I started exploring the connection between deep-seated emotions and physical health, discovering how trauma is stored in the body.
That’s when yoga entered my life. I attended neurogenic yoga and travelled to Sri Lanka for a retreat, learning how to prioritize self-care and establish a regular yoga practice. I became more aware of my physical and emotional health and made dietary and lifestyle changes. Consequently, my lower back pain reduced, life became more enjoyable, and I felt more connected to myself and the world.
Discovering Yoga Therapy was a turning point, as it resonated with my personal journey. I trained as a Yoga Therapist and travelled to Costa Rica to complete my Yoga Teacher training.
This journey led me to the creation of Ascend Wellness!

Psychological Yoga therapy with Ascend Wellness uses an integrative and multidimensional approach of yoga practices whilst being underpinned by physiological and psychological perspectives.
It focuses on reducing current symptoms such as anxiety, depression and trauma, and restores balance by dropping into the various physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual layers of the body.
When we quieten our busy minds and connect with our bodies, we connect with the emotions and the wisdom of our body. It is through this self-inquiry and connection with ourselves that transformational change occurs.
Everyone experiences the mind and body in their own way so each journey and experience of psychological yoga therapy is deeply personal and individualised.
